I can't believe I depart for Cameroon in just one week from today! I still have a lot to do, but am finally wrapping my head around my African adventure! I can hardly wait to get all packed up and get on the plane. Now I just have to get through all of the last minute details, like shopping and appointments and packing. It sure will be a busy week.
I feel like I am in a really good place in my life right now, where I am ready to let go and move on with my life and start a brand new adventure. I cannot wait to surround myself in a new culture, meet so many new people, and be challenged. I feel like when I'm at home or school I tend to get into a regular routine and do not always take the most out of every situation. I'm hoping that my time spent away from home will help me to become more independent and gain better perspective.
Hopefully the next post I will be writing while in Cameroon! :)
You should keep toilet paper in your purse. You never know when you might need it...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll have the time of your life! Just remember-- you'll probably only have one chance to do anything you do there, so even if you're scared, do it anyway. Your memories will be amazing.
